This page is relevant for:

  • all users in MitID Erhverv.

You:

  • use the MitID app, for example, to approve logins on a self-service.
  • have received a new phone, or have both a new phone and a new phone number.

New phone: What to do?

To find out how to set up MitID Erhverv on your new phone, you first need to determine whether you have one or multiple MitID user IDs. You enter your MitID user ID, for example, when logging in to self-services.

If you have one MitID user ID

If you only have one MitID user ID, it means that you use the same MitID user ID for all the activities, whether acting digitally as a private individual or on behalf of your organisation. In that case, follow this guide on MitID.dk:

MitID.dk: Get MitID app on a new phone/tablet

If you have multiple MitID user IDs: One for private use and one or more for business

Download the MitID app from the official Apple App Store or Google Play. Only download the genuine MitID app from these sources.

If you still have your old phone, you can activate MitID Erhverv on your new phone yourself by using the MitID app on your old phone. You can proceed by following this guide:

MitID.dk: Copy your MitID app to another phone/tablet

If you no longer have your old phone, contact your user administrator to:

  • disconnect and delete your old phone as a MitID authenticator
  • create a MitID authenticator by issuing a new activation code for you.

Once received an activation code from the user administrator, you begin activating your new app. Follow these steps:

  1. Select “Activate”
  2. Choose “Activate MitID”
  3. Select “Activation code from citizen service or MitID Erhverv”.

Please note that rights associated with your old phones are not transferred to your new phone. You need to request these rights again. Examples of rights you may need to request include:

  • access to your organisation's Digital Post
  • reporting parental leave in NemRefusion.

If you have a separate MitID user ID for business purposes, it is essential to update your phone number while you still have access to the MitID app on your old phone.

Open the MitID app on your old phone.

Tap the menu at the top of your screen, and then select “Profile.”

Choose "Change phone number." Then, you will need to enter your PIN for the MitID app. Alternatively, you can use biometrics like face recognition or fingerprint authentication if enabled.

Enter your new phone number and tap "Done" to dismiss the keyboard.

Then select "Next".

An SMS code will be sent to the new number you entered previously. Enter the SMS code to confirm.

You will see a confirmation message indicating that the phone number has been successfully changed.

After updating your number, refer to the guide for setting up MitID on your new phone
