Request rights

Learn how to request rights when your organisation allows it.

This page is relevant for:

  • users, if your organisation administrator has enabled the option to apply for rights.

This page is typically not relevant if:

  • your organisation uses Local IdP, i.e. you log in to self-services under the “Local login” tab, not ”MitID”
  • your organisation has its own procedure for requesting rights, e.g. a form. Do check your intranet or other internal communication channels.

A right is access or permission to carry out one or more specific tasks in a self-service.

Request rights

Before requesting rights, you need to complete the steps in the "Find out whether you can request rights" guidance above.

When you tap the button, the "Add rights" window will appear.

Select the right(s) you want to request

  • entering search terms in the search field
  • expanding rights categories.

You can select rights by ticking the box next to the rights names.

Once you've done this, tap the "Next" button at the bottom of the window.

In the "Motivation(optional)" window, you can explain why you need the rights.

Tap the ”Next” button.

In the "Summary" window, you can see which right(s) you're requesting.

If you've provided a reason, you'll also see that.

The "Submit request" button is at the bottom of the window.

When you tap the button, you'll return to the "Rights" menu and the message "Request for rights submitted" will appear.

When one of the administrators in your organisation has processed your request, they'll contact you to let you know whether it's been approved or rejected.

If you don't hear from an administrator, contact the rights administrator. All types of administrators can process requests, but it's primarily the rights administrator who manages rights. MitID Erhverv has the following types of administrators:

  • Organisation administrator
  • Rights administrator
  • User administrator.

If you don't know who the administrators are in your organisation, follow this guide:
