Create, request, and manage powers of attorney

Your organisation can create, request, and manage powers of attorney, enabling another organisation to act digitally on behalf of your organisation, and vice versa. Your organisation can also manage powers of attorny from citizens.

This page is relevant for:

  • organisation administrators
  • rights administrators
  • management representatives in the organisation.

When your organisation needs to grant another organisation access to, for example, submit reports through public self-services 0 on its behalf, you can set up a power of attorney in:

  • MitID Erhverv
  • Digital Delegation self-service.

This is particularly relevant when, for example, your organisation's accountant needs to submit refund claims in NemRefusion on your organisation's behalf.

Members of the public may also grant your organisation a power of attorney to act on their behalf through the Digital Delegation self-services.

If you can meet 4 requirements below, you should use Digital Delegation self-service to create or request a power of attorney:

  • You are a management representative or association representative in your organisation.
  • You use private MitID, such as for logging into your own online banking, also when acting digitally on behalf of your organisation
  • You have been automatically authorised to act digitally on behalf of your business or association with their private MitID, even if your organisation has not actively entered into a connection agreement with MitID Erhverv.
  • When approving login for self-service, for example, with the MitID app, code display, audio code reader, or chip, you are promoted if you intend to log in as a management representative or as a private individual. You choose to log in as a management representative when acting on behalf of your organisation.

Powers of attorney to or from another organisation (business powers of attorney)

Din role determines:

  • where you manage business powers of attorney.
  • what you can do with business powers of attorney.

Powers of Attorney in the Digital Delegation Self-Service

If your organisation have a connection agreement in place, you may in MitID Erhverv:

  • create business powers of attorney for another organisation
  • create business powers of attorney for a specific user in another organisation
  • create delegation groups
  • add users to a power of attorney received by your organisation before it can be used
  • add users to delegation groups in your organisation
  • approve or decline a request for a business power of attorney from another organisation
  • delete powers of attorney.

You log in to MitID Erhverv og may:

  • create business powers of attorney for another organisation
  • create delegation groups
  • approve or decline a request for a business power of attorney from another organisation.

  • create business powers of attorney for a specific user in another organisation
  • add users to a power of attorney received by your organisation before it can be used
  • add users to delegation groups in your organisation.

Powers of attorney in Digital Delegation self-service (in Danish: Digital Fuldamgt)

Management representatives from an organisation that does not have a connection agreement with MitID Erhverv in place must manage powers of attorney in Digital Delegation self-service.

By default, your organisation does not have an agreement with MitID Erhverv if no one else in your organisation is able to act on its behalf.

Powers of attorney from citizens

Citizens can grant your organisation a power of attorney your organisation to act on their behalf.

In order to start using the powers of attorney your organisation has received, your organisation must add users to them.

The following persons may assign users:

  • Rights Administrator
  • Management Representative, if your organisation has entered into a connection agreement with MitID Erhverv.
