Delete business powers of attorney

As a rights administrator or a management representative you can delete business powers of attorney.  

This page is relevant for:

  • rights administrators
  • management representatives.

Please contact the rights administrator or management representative in your organisation. Follow this guide to discover who the rights administrator is for your organisation.

Find out who the administrators are in your organisation

If you can meet 4 requirements below, you should use Digital Delegation self-service to create or request a power of attorney:

  • You are a management representative or association representative in your organisation.
  • You use private MitID, such as for logging into your own online banking, also when acting digitally on behalf of your organisation
  • You have been automatically authorised to act digitally on behalf of your business or association with their private MitID, even if your organisation has not actively entered into a connection agreement with MitID Erhverv.
  • When approving login for self-service, for example, with the MitID app, code display, audio code reader, or chip, you are promoted if you intend to log in as a management representative or as a private individual. You choose to log in as a management representative when acting on behalf of your organisation.

Where can you delete a power of attorney?

If you are a rights administrator:

You must delete powers of attorney in MitID Erhverv. Follow the instructions below:

If you are a management representative:

You must delete authorisations in the Digital Delegation self‑service. Follow the instructions below:

If your organisation has already entered into the connection agreement with MitID Erhverv, you can also manage delegations there — meaning several people in addition to yourself may act digitally on the organisation's behalf. Please refer to the following guide instead:

How to delete a power of attorney in MitID Erhverv

As a rights administrator, you must delete a power of attorney in MitID Erhverv. 

A management representative from an organisation that has already entered into the connection agreement with MitID Erhverv can also do this.

 It will appear under one of these categories:

  • Delegations received
  • Delegations created

You can choose to delete it in either of the following 2 ways:

  1. Tap the power of attorney; its details will open and you can press the "Remove" button at the bottom of the details pane.
  2. Tap the three‑dot menu next to the type of powers of attorney, select "Remove" from the options that appear.

Once you have selected either option, a confirmation window entitled "Confirm delete" will appear.

The button is at the bottom of the window.

You will be returned to the overview of powers of attorney.

You can no longer use the deleted power of attorney.

How to delete a power of attorney in Digital Delegation self-service

Management representatives can delete a power of attorney in the Digital Power of Attorney self-service.

If your organisation has already entered into the connection agreement with MitID Erhverv, you can also delete the power of attorney there. If you prefer to do so, please refer to the following guidance instead

It will be listed under one of the tabs:  

  • Given
  • Received

The "Delete" button that appears next to the details of the power of attorney.

The window "Delete power of attorney" appears.

The button "Delete" is at the bottom of the window.

You will be returned to the overview of powers of attorney.

You can no longer use the deleted power of attorney.

You can find the deleted power of attorney by tapping the "History" button at the bottom of the overview.
