Modify the organisation’s certificate settings
As an organisation administrator, you can modify the settings for how the organisation issues certificates.

As an organisation administrator, you can modify the organisation’s certificate settings. You will need to decide:
- whether to allow your organisation to issue certificates
- which types of certificates the organisation is allowed to issue
- whether to allow employees to sign on behalf of the organisation (sealing).

Rights administrators and user administrators can only view the certificate settings, but it is only the user administrator who can issue certificates. If you are a user administrator and need to issue certificates, you can read more here:
How to modify the organisation’s settings for certificate issuance and sealing
Find "Settings": Menu > Settings.
The “Certificates” settings will expand.
You can adjust the settings for:
- organisation certificates, including sealing
- user certificates
- UUID in certificates

Certificate settings
You need to decide whether to allow your organisation to issue allows organisation certificates. Please note that organisation certificates cost 20.00 DKK per certificate.

If your organisation is allowed to issue organisation certificates, you must also decide whether to enable sealing through the use of certificate profiles.
Sealing enables users in the organisation to sign on behalf of the organisation, without the user’s name appearing in the signature.
You need to decide whether to allow your organisation to issue user certificates. Please note that user certificates cost 20.00 DKK per certificate.

A UUID (Universally Unique Identifier) is the number that associates a certificate with the user.
A UUID can either be consistent across all of the user’s certificates, allowing continued access to services with a new certificate, or it can be specific to each certificate, ensuring the services do not link the user’s information to previous certificates.
It is up to you to decide whether the UUID number should be certificate-specific or consistent across the user’s certificates.
