4 details your association or voluntary association need to clarify before entering into a connection agreement

Before starting the process, the following needs to be clarified:

  • Is the representative of your association registered in the CVR (Central Business Register)?
  • Does the representative of your association have a private MitID?
  • Who will initiate the process of entering into a connection agreement with MitID Erhverv?
  • Who does your association intend to appoint as the organisation administrator?

Below, you will find more detailed information regarding each of the 4 details outlined above.

The representative of your association could, for example, be a chairman, another board member, or a treasurer of the association, provided the individual is registered in the CVR (Central Business Register).

Look up your association in CVR (Central Business Register) to find out if the representative is listed. You can do so by reviewing the section “Foreningsrepræsentant” that means association representative in Danish. If this section is missing, the representative of your association is not registered.

If the representative of your association is not registered in the CVR (Central Business Register) and does not agree to be registered, you must upload documentation verifying the association representative's role during the process of entering into a connection agreement with MitID Erhverv. If the representative of your association is registered but does not have a private MitID, you must follow a special procedure before initiating the process of entering into a connection agreement:

If your association representative does not have a private MitID but is registered in the CVR (Central Business Register) (mangler anchor)

This detail need to be clarified only when the representative is already registered in the CVR (Central Business Register).

If the representative of your association is registered  in the CVR (Central Business Register) but does not have a private MitID, you must follow a special procedure before initiating the profess of entering into a connection agreement. This procedure is explained further at the bottom of this page:

If your association representative does not have a private MitID but is registered in the CVR (Central Business Register) (anchor mangler)

Either a management representative or a reporter can initiate the process:

  • A management representative can be a director, a member of the executive board, or the board of directors. The management representative can only initiate the process if they have a private MitID and a CPR number. If they do not, a reporter must be appointed.
  • A reporter is an individual other than the management representative, either from within or outside your company, such as an administrative employee or an accountant. The reporter must have a private MitID and a CPR number.

The organisation administrator is responsible for:

  • setting up your company in MitID Erhverv after finalising the connection agreement with MitID Erhverv
  • configuring how your employees may use MitID Erhverv.

The organisation administrator is required to have a:

  • CPR number
  • private MitID.

If the organisation administrator does not meet these 2 requirements, you will be unable to complete setting up your company in MitID Erhverv after having concluded the agreement. The management representative or reporter can also serve as the organisation administrator if they meet the 2 requirements outlined above.

The organisation administrator does not need to be employed by the company. For example, you can appoint an accountant, lawyer, or an employee in an administration agency as your organisation administrator.

Once you have decided who to appoint, you will need the following information regarding the individual you intend to appoint as the organisation administrator:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Date of birth or CPR number.

If the association does not need to upload documentation verifying the role of the association representative

If the representative of your association initiates the process, they will need the following:

  • The email address of the representative of your association.
  • The private MitID of the representative of your association, which is used to verify their identity and approve the connection agreement. If the representative does not have a private MitID, you must appoint a reporter to initiate the process.
  • The name, email address, and date of birth (or CPR number) of the individual your association intends to appoint as the organisation administrator.

If the reporter initiates the process, they will need the following:

  • The email address of the reporter.
  • The email address of the representative of your association.
  • The private MitID of the representative of your association, which is used to verify their identity.
  • The name, email address, and date of birth (or CPR number) of the individual your associations intends to appoint as the organisation administrator.

If the association must upload documentation verifying the association representative’s role

If the representative of your association initiates the process, they will need the following:

  • The email address of the representative of your association.
  • The private MitID, which is used to verify their identity and approve the connection. Note that you must follow a special procedure if the representative of your association does not have a private MitID but is registered as the association representative in the CVR (Central Business Register). In that case, refer to the section “If the association representative does not have a private MitID but is registered in the CVR (Central Business Register)” below.
  • Documentation verifying the association representative's role, which must be uploaded during the process.
  • The Name, email address, and date of birth (or CPR number) of the individual your association intends to appoint as the organisation administrator.

If the reporter initiates the process, they will need the following:

  • The email address of the reporter.
  • The email address of representative of your association.
  • The reporter's private MitID, which is used to verify their identity.
  • Name, email address, and date of birth (or CPR number) of the individual your association intends to appoint as the organisation administrator.
  • If applicable, the association representative’s private MitID to approve the connection agreement with MitID Erhverv. If the association representative does not have a private MitID, the representative can approve by signing the connection agreement by hand. If the association representative does not have a private MitID but is registered in the CVR (Central Business Register), a special procedure must be followed. In that case, refer to “If the association representative does not have a private MitID but is registered in the CVR (Central Business Register)” below.

If the representative of your association does not have a private MitID but is registered in the CVR (Central Business Register)

If the representative does not have a private MitID but is registered in the CVR (Central Business Register), a reporter must initiate the process of entering into a connection agreement. The reporter can be from within or outside the association, such as a member or an accountant. The reporter must have a CPR number and a private MitID.

Once the representative has appointed the reporter, you must follow these 3 steps before initiating the process:

The representative of your association or the reporter must contact MitID Erhverv Support via the contact form. You must provide the following 9 pieces of information:

  • The name of the association
  • The CVR (Central Business Register) number of the association
  • The full name of the representative of your association
  • The phone number of the representative of your association
  • The email address of the representative of your association
  • The full name of the reporter
  • The phone number of the reporter
  • The email address of the reporter
  • Notify that the representative of your association does not have a private MitID

Then, follow the instructions provided by MitID Erhverv Support to initiate the process of entering into a connection agreement.

  • The email address of the reporter.
  • The email address of the representative of your association.
  • The private MitID of the reporter, which is used to verify their identity.
  • The name, e-mail address and date of the birth of the individual your association intends to appoint as the organisation administrator.
