To prepare your company for the process of entering into a connection agreement, you need to:

5 details you need to clarify before the process of entering into a connection agreement

Before starting the process, the following needs to be clarified:

  1. Who is the management representative in your company?
  2. Who will initiate the process of entering into a connection agreement?
  3. Who does your company intend to appoint as the organisation administrator?
  4. Do you need to upload documentation verifying the management representative’s role in the company when entering into a connection agreement?
  5. Should you contact MitID Erhverv Support before initiating the process of entering into an connection agreement?

A management representative in MitID Erhverv is an individual authorised to represent a company, such as a signatory, member of management, chairman of the board. The management representative’s role is to approve the connection agreement with MitID Erhverv.

Management representatives in your company can be either:

  • the director
  • a member of the executive board or board of directors.

Either a management representative or a reporter can initiate the process:

  • A management representative can be a director, a member of the executive board, or the board of directors. The management representative can only initiate the process if they have a private MitID and a CPR number. If they do not, a reporter must be appointed.
  • A reporter is an individual other than the management representative, either from within or outside your company, such as an administrative employee or an accountant. The reporter must have a private MitID and a CPR number.

The organisation administrator is responsible for:

  • setting up your company in MitID Erhverv after finalising the connection agreement with MitID Erhverv
  • configuring how your employees may use MitID Erhverv.

The organisation administrator is required to have a:

  • CPR number
  • private MitID.

If the organisation administrator does not meet these 2 requirements, you will be unable to complete setting up your company in MitID Erhverv after having concluded the agreement. The management representative or reporter can also serve as the organisation administrator if they meet the 2 requirements outlined above.

The organisation administrator does not need to be employed by the company. For example, you can appoint an accountant, lawyer, or an employee in an administration agency as your organisation administrator.

Once you have decided who to appoint, you will need the following information regarding the individual you intend to appoint as the organisation administrator:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Date of birth or CPR number

Roles

Some companies will need to upload documentation verifying the management representative’s role in the company, while others will not.

Your company does not need to upload documentation if you can answer “yes” to all of the following 4 statements:

  • Your management representative(s) are registered and listed as a director or member of the executive board in the CVR (Central Business Register).
  • Your management representative(s) have the legal right to sign documents on behalf of the company indenpendently as per the CVR (Central Business Register).
  • Your management representative(s) have a private MitID and a CPR number.
  • Your management representative(s) have a permanent address in Denmark.

You can find information about your management representative and their right to sign on behalf of the company by looking up your company in the CVR (Central Business Register):

Some companies must contact MitID Erhverv Support before initiating the process. You should do so if you can agree to the following 3 points outlined below:

  • Your management representative(s) are registered in the CVR (Central Business Register) as directors or members of the executive board.
  • Your management representative(s) have the legal right to sign on behalf of the company independently, according to the CVR (Central Business Register).
  • Your management representative(s) do not have a private MitID.

Either the management representative or reporter must contact MitID Erhverv Support via the contact form. You will need to provide the following 9 details in the form:

  • Company name
  • CVR number
  • The full name of the management representative
  • The phone number of the management representative
  • The email address of the management representative
  • The full name of the reporter
  • The phone number of the reporter
  • The email address of the reporter
  • Notifying that the management representative does not have a private MitID

Contact MitID Erhverv Support

Then, follow the instructions from MitID Erhverv Support to initiate the process of entering into a connection agreement.

When entering into the connection agreement, you must upload documentation verifying the management representative’s:

  • identity, such as a copy of a passport or driving license. If the representative does not have a CPR number, it must be a copy of their passport or national identity card.
  • role in the company.

Checklist: What your company needs to prepare before initiating the process of entering into a connection agreement

If you do not need to upload documentation verifying the management representative’s role

If the management representative initiates the process, they must have the following ready:

  • Their email address.
  • Their private MitID, which will be used to verify their identity and approve the connection agreement. If the representative does not have a private MitID, you must appoint a reporter to initiate the process.
  • The name, email address, and date of birth (or CPR number) of the individual you company intends to appoint as the organisation administrator.
If the reporter initiates the process, they must have the following ready:
  • Their email address.
  • The management representative’s email address.
  • Their private MitID, which will be used to verify their identity.
  • The management representative’s private MitID, which will be used to approve the connection agreement.
  • The name, email address, and date of birth (or CPR number) of the individual your company intends to appoint as the organisation administrator.

If you need to upload documentation verifying the management representative’s role

If the management representative initiates the process, they must have the following ready:

  • Their email address.
  • Their private MitID, which will be used to verify their identity and approve the connection.
  • The name, email address, and date of birth (or CPR number) of the individual your company intends to appoint as the organisation administrator.
  • Documentation verifying management representative’s role in the company.
If the reporter initiates the process, they must have the following ready:
  • Their email address
  • The management representative’s private email address.
  • Their private MitID, which will be used to verify their identity
  • The name, email address, and date of birth (or CPR number) of the individual your company intends to appoint as the organisation administrator
  • Documentation verifying the management representative’s role in the company.
  • The management representative’s private MitID, which will be used to approve the connection agreement. If the management representative does not have a private MitID, they can approve the connection agreement by signing the agreement by hand.
