Create private MitID test users in the integration test environment

Private MitID test users are created in the MitID Simulator with dummy CPR numbers.

In the MitID Simulator, you can create private MitID test users for conducting tests in the integration environment.

You must:

  1. create private MitID users, as described in this guide
  2. create and activate the private MitID test users as MitID Erhverv test users in the MitID Erhverv integration test environment.

Follow this guide after you have created private MitID test users.

How to create private MitID test users

You create private MitID test users in the integration test environment:

MitID Simulator: Create test user

If you have no preference as to what information the private MitID test user should have, you can choose to press the "Autofill" button under the heading "Identity data". This will automatically complete the following 4 fields:

  • Username
  • First name
  • Middle name
  • Surname

It is very important to use dummy names, CPR numbers, etc.

You must enter at least the following 5 pieces of information:

  • Maximum assurance level for authentication
  • User ID
  • Password
  • First name
  • Administrator's email address: This address will be used to change the test user's data at a later time.

Tick the box for:

  • Private MitID, if the user is to be used for MitID private login.

This should be done in the vast majority of cases, as it is the recommended way to manage MitID Erhverv test users (test business users). By ticking "Private MitID", the test user is created as a private identity in the MitID Simulator. The user can then be linked as a business user in the integration test environment and use the private MitID created in the MitID Simulator as an authentication method for login.

If you wish to test with users without a CPR number, e.g. foreign users, you should leave the CPR number field blank. However, test users without a CPR number cannot be created as MitID Erhverv test users.

Once you have filled in the information, press "Create Identity".

A private MitID test user has now been created.

It is very important to save the information about the user, as the confirmation email you receive does not contain the username, password, etc.

The created private test user can now be set up as a MitID Erhverv test user (test business user). Read more about how to do this in this guide:
