MitID app, code display, audio code reader, and chip

Employees in your organisation use a MitID app, code display, code display, audio code reader or chip when logging in self-service solutions with MitID Erhverv.

When employees in your organisation use MitID Erhverv to log in or sign digitally, they will need:

  • MitID app
  • MitID code display
  • MitID audio code reader
  • MitID chip

These are called MitID authenticators that are used to confirm the employee's identity during login or when signing digitally.

With the MitID app, you have MitID on your phone and/or tablet, and you can log on or approve actions with a simple swipe

The audio code reader is designed for people with impaired vision. It will read the one-time password code aloud and display the code on the device's screen. Enter this code when you log in to confirm your MitID.

The code display is a small electronic device that shows a one-time password code. Enter this code when you log in to confirm your MitID.

MitID chipMitID chip

MitID chip is for those who need to approve and log in with MitID multiple times each day, such as part of their work duties.

Your organisation uses private MitID when acting digitally on behalf of your organisation

A private MitID is the MitID you use as an individual, for example, to log in to your personal online banking accounts. You can read more about login options in MitID Erhverv here:

Your organisation uses a separate MitID

A separate MitID is a new MitID that your organisation creates when creating an employee as a user in MitID Erhverv. The employee will only use this MitID when acting on behalf of your organisation.

Most users in MitID Erhverv use the MitID app, which is free of charge. You can download the app from either Google Play or Apple App Store. You can have your separate MitID on:

  • your personal phone
  • a phone other than your personal phone, such as a work phone
  • both of the options above.

If you choose to have the separate MitID on your private phone, you will not be able to use biometrics (facial recognition or fingerprint) in the app.

MitID code display, audio code reader, and chip are not free. The organisation's administrator decides whether your organisation offers these. You can find the prices for the individual authenticators here:

Please note that you cannot have a separate MitID in the MitID code display, code audio reader, or chip that you already use for your private MitID.

The user administrators can order the MitID code display, code audio reader and chip for users in MitID Erhverv.
