Business powers of attorney

If your organisation requires assistance from external partners, such as an accountant, solicitor, or administrative agency, you must grant them business authorisation to act digitally on your behalf.

Use business powers of attorney when your organisation needs to act on behalf of another or vice versa

With business powers of attorney in MitID Erhverv, you can create a power of attorney to another organisation (i.e. an entity with another Central Business Register number: CVR number) that grants them the right or access to declare digitally on behalf of your organisation. This is relevant when, for example, you receive assistance from:

  • an accountant
  • a lawyer
  • a management company.

The assistance your organisation may receive could include:

  • applying for reimbursements
  • declaring taxes and duties
  • reporting statistics.

If your organisation requires assistance from another organisation

Your organisation can choose from the 2 options below:

  • Business power of attorney (delegation) for the organisation (can be created by organisation administrator).
  • Business power of attorney (delegation) at the individual level, which must be created to a specific person within the organisation (can be created by rights administrator).

When you create a business power of attorney (delegation) for an organisation, the recipient organisation is responsible for deciding who within their organisation will act digitally on behalf of your organisation.

If your organisation provides assitance to another organisation

When assisting another organisation, you can request business powers of attorney from the organisation you are helping via MitID Erhverv. An organisation administrator is responsible for requesting business authorisation from another organisation.
